Hope Key Restaurant - Victoria

Whenever I've gone into the Hope Key Restaurant I've been made to feel so welcome and happy that I want to come back for more. I love the colourful and interesting decor with the whimsical painted chairs and their titles. But I love the food just as much. They serve the best pot-stickers I've ever had and they're just as good every time. It's their special dipping sauce that is irresistible. When they bring you your tea it comes on a traywith a generous pot and an ample amount of milk and sugar if you've ordered western tea. But the dessert is really worth crowing about. One day the special was banana fritters and it came with a lot of ice cream and all the chocolate sauce I wanted. The banana fritters were nice and warm and oh, so good! The buffet is plentiful and the combination plates delicious.

We had a buffet lunch here. The friendly owners go out of their way (without being pushy) to make you feel welcome and to tell you anything you want to know about their establishment. We loved the variety and the freshness of the food. Their sticky rice was the best I've ever tasted. A very relaxing place to do lunch.

Ausgezeichnet, super buffet. Sehr leckeres Buffet zu fairen Preisen mit all you can eat. Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Weiterempfehlung auf jeden Fall!

We had the chinese dishes but there are many choices on the menu.The boss lady is very friendly and gives left overs to the homeless who are around the front door.

We went here for dinner and had their two of their special "daily listings" the Thursday and the Saturday dinners. Thursday's was a spicy (to your level of heat) prawn dinner and Saturday's was almond chicken. Both came with a good quantity if steamed rice and vegetables. They also came with a small bowl of their wonton soup as a starter, and a dish of ice cream for dessert. Plenty of food for two but we ate it all and were full.The service was excellent and friendly. The building exterior doesn't look like much but the interior with it's old Victoria brick walls and their choice of posters and painting, was quite pleasant.
