I feel a little bit like a kid in a candy shop when I walk in! The staff is always friendly and helpful in narrowing our choices down. I had the coconut lime paleta yesterday and have now added that to my favourites list, which is becoming increasingly long as I have yet to have one that I didn't like, or one that I felt was just ok!I love that the ingredients are all fresh and the best quality out there and that they're all made right on site by 1 guy!I tell everyone I know to stop by this shop. Can't wait to try the Rhubarb creamsicle tomorrow!
This place is fantastic! It's a little off the beaten track, but only just. We first tried the Paletas (a mexican style popsicle) at Red fish Blue fish and we were hooked instantly and then we heard they had their own little shop on Fisgard. It is the sweetest little shop you have ever seen, bright and beautiful. All the Paletas are made in the kitchen behind the shop and all with great quality ingredients. There are flavours to suit everyone, from the decadent salted caramel dipped in chocolate to the super fruity and light roasted rhubarb creamsicle. They also have a few sugar free or low sugar options and they have little fruit ones for kids. This is one of our absolute favourite places to go, rain or shine.
The restaurant had a vibrant and authentic atmosphere, making it easy to imagine being on vacation in a tropical country. Surprisingly, it was quite empty for a Saturday evening.
When a dedicated meat-eater finds themselves in a town renowned for its farm-to-table cuisine, what should they do? Try the spinach salad at this hidden gem of a Caribbean restaurant.
