Baan Thai Restaurant - Victoria

Went for the first time to this restaurant for dinner as close to our home. For the 2 of us we ordered the spring rolls to start, then the Baan Thai Garden with Prawns and the Phad Med Ma Muang Jae with Chicken. We also added 2 orders of the sticky rice. We split the main courses for the variety, and absolutely loved both dishes. The restaurant was about 1/2 full on the Saturday night, and did hear they do a very busy take out service. It is nice as you go into the take out area by a different door, so not disruptive with people coming in and out of the sit down restaurant area. The place does have air conditioning, which we appreciated at this time of the year. We had a couple of gals serving in our area, and they were both very attentive with the patrons.

This is one of my favourite Asian restaurants. Haven't found Thai I like better, even in Vancouver. Their stirfries are delicious, they have great lunch combos for good value, and I love the large clean location in Broadmead (their downtown location on Blanshard is also a long time favourite). Their tom yum goong soup is the best, love the flavours of the broth. I have never had a disappointing meal here, always a good option for eating in or taking out.

I am not a big Thai food fan but really enjoyed my food at this restaurant. Everything was fresh and tasty!

I had one of the specials with chicken as an extra topping-it came with a nice broth soup and an egg roll which was good -everything was not quite hot - only warm -the chicken i had, had a bit of an unusual flavor so i wouldn't order it again - i would try one of the other extra toppings instead

I went there with my friend during the busy night time. One of the servant wasn't nice and we could see that she lost her patience for a bit... The currie with coconut milk was great! But the others I haven't discovered any highlight s to recommend to you.
