Azuma Sushi - Victoria

Don’t know about any other items but don’t order the lunch bento box-teriyaki beef was not what it should have been! The meet was rubbery. We could not eat it.

Great service and fresh sushi. Sunumona salad, tuna avocado roll, spicy scallop cucumber roll were all tasty. I’ll be back.

I have been eating at azuma for literally years. It’s always been my favourite sushi spot, despite what other people have told me. I would say on average, I go here at least twice a week. I have my favourite servers, and we know...each other by name. They are lovely and very hard workers. However, after last weeks visit I am disturbed. Upon arriving we were greeted by the manager YELLING at a female employee in the kitchen. I immediately complained to my server that this was completely unacceptable and we were moved to a different table (not my point). What kind of management screams at their staff, especially during dinner service when the entire restaurant is able to hear?! I’ll mention here, that I am also a restaurant manager and have been for years. This is not how you treat staff. I have called three times and been told the manager is not in and they don’t know when he’ll be available. I go in for lunch, dinner, late snack, and the manager is ALWAYS IN! So disappointed because I can’t support a restaurant where staff is treated that way. Employee labour must be contacted.

Not dissatisfied at the same time nothing spectacular. California rolls were dry. The shabby soup was good. The decor is in need of upgrading. Service was hit and miss. Kenko roll is a must try

This was my first visit here. Hands down the nest sushi I have had in Victoria. I’ll be back again very soon.
