ABC Country Restaurants - Victoria

So after waiting over 7 mins to even be asked for how many, we finally were approached then told a man by himself who came in after us was going to get seated first. Once at a table we waited for over 10 mins without even being asked what we'd like to drink my husband, mother and myself decided to go to Pauls motor inn instead. At least we know the food is consistent, the wait staff do their job and are not annoyed by customers. This is a place I will never return to.

Now that the name and owners have changed so has the service. They can never get our order right and the server we always get is rude. Our family always comes here but after our last few visits this one is our last.

Nice menu, not really cheap, we went for breakfast. We had the worst service on our week long trip at this restaurant. The waitress was obviously overwhelmed, but she got no help. Another waitress came by and offered no help, the manager came by and offered no help and both could tell we had been there WAY too long. The food looked good, but it was cold by the time we got it, we just ate and left. They were not that busy that they could not see that we were not getting service, we were sitting right in the main dining room, But no one even came by with coffee or water, it was terrible, I review a lot of restaurants and I have never left a review like this.

Had dinner here and the food was your basic coffee shop menu and quality. Had daily wine or beer specials that were a good value. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Don't know why another reviewer thinks this is home cooking. It is packaged food. Packaged potatoes, gravy, vegetables, meat. It is not really difficult to open a package dump it in water and boil it a bit, but our vegetables were mush and tasteless. The powdered mashed potatoes and over salted gravy was just ok. The meat was fine.We went for seniors night and the price cannot be beat. A starter salad with actual fresh ingredients was great. The full meal was the right size - even a bit too large. The packaged desert was - well packaged. It is soon to become Rickys. Another mediocre restaurant. It is getting a facelift, hopefully better service, but we were assured the menu would not change too much. Shame about that. Hopefully the price doesn't change much either or it will not be worth stopping at.
