7-eleven - Victoria

The store recently confirmed that they are open 24 hours a day, but in the past few months, I have never seen them open late at night or early in the morning. Every time I have tried to go there, they have been closed as early as 10 pm, with a couple of unsuccessful attempts at 11 pm. Today, at 11:30 pm, I saw a staff member in the store, but was told they were closed. Can a store claim to be open 24 hours, advertise as such, but then say they are only open for 8 hours a day due to staffing issues? It is confusing and misleading.

The staff at this restaurant has really declined in the past two years. It seems like they are hiring the worst of the worst. The employees act as if they are high on drugs, similar to the homeless people who linger in the parking lot. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

This is my neighbourhood 7/11 and I have been a regular here but today I faced the Humiliation and WORST RACISM EVER. On August 16 I went to get the F-real which I would make first and pay for it. There was a line up and a lady who was in front of me made her F-real and went to pay for it while the worker there asked me to pay first and then make it. I was in the cashier line waiting with the same F-real where a person with color me had to pay first and then make it while the a Caucasian lady was allowed to make it first then pay for it. This was so humiliating that a person with color is treated differently then others. I am highly disappointed and never thought 7/11 as a brand would ever promote such behaviour.

I went into this store to buy a coffee and a lighter. The woman in front of me in line also bought a lighter and was not asked for ID to scan. I was asked to give ID which I did, and the cashiers were confused saying I wasn’t 21 years old when the legal age is 19. I proceeded to give them 4 pieces of ID (my US passport card, my BC health card, my vaccine card, and my driving permit) which all have my birthday. They then scan my government issued IDs and say they aren’t going through, and that I cannot buy a lighter. I ask the person next to me in line if they could buy the lighter and the cashier says they cannot do a third party situation. It is ridiculous that their machine didn’t accept my valid forms of ID, and that the employees didn’t even know the legal age in BC. I had been to this 7 eleven before and had no issues. It’s also ridiculous how I was asked for ID, and the lady in front of me was not. Thanks 7 eleven, you lost another customer.

While 7 Eleven claims to be open 24/7/365, this store is frequently (and randomly) closed overnight. Expect store to be closed from 1:00am 5:30am. Zero reliability.
