Otto Tomotto's - VICTOR

We have been here several times before and the service and the food was always excellent. We just went tonight for a 50th anniversary celebration, and it was so different than it?s ever been before and definitely lacking in both departments. We madereservations five days in advance, however it probably was not necessary as the restaurant was fairly empty in comparison topast visits. Part of our party arrived earlier and while at the bar noticed that the soda was really sweet and there was nocarbonation. They mentioned this to the server/bartender and she said that?s just the way it was. When we were sat we were toldthat our server had been triple sat and we were sympathetic and said we understood, take your time and all that. While wewaited, two glasses of water were brought for our party of seven, with only one or two ice cubes in each glass, and the waterwas lukewarm. When our server eventually made it back to us we ordered more water for the rest of the table and we asked formore ice. More waters were brought and there was almost no ice in those as well. We asked again for more ice and one cup of icewas brought around the middle of the meal. We also asked about the soda again and told them that it was just syrup and nocarbonation and she just said there was nothing they could do- it was just odd that there was no offer of fixing the CO2 oranything to replace these drinks. The appetizers came out pretty quickly after ordering and were ok, calamari was really chewy-not how it usually is there. Kids cheeseburger was over cooked and rock hard. Our kid took a small bite and had a tough timeswallowing it down. This was brought to our servers attention and removed from the bill. Seafood in the pasta was kind of hardand over cooked, however the flavor of the sauce was good. Steaks were good. Bread was good. The server did bring wrappedcookies an extra which was nice. It was about 45 min from the time we sat until we ordered our meals. Big gaps betwee

We had the complimentary bread, ordered the calamari and two bolognese dishes (one red sauce and one Rosa sauce . The bread was alright but seems like it had been sitting for a while.. the calamari was chewy and lukewarm as well.. and both of our pastadishes had an abnormally EXCESSIVE amount of cheese on them (see the photos . Eventually I added chilli flakes and took off asmuch cheese I could from my red sauce dish this tasted SO much better! So the sauces were fine, but the cheese justoverpowered the dish. That being said, although the portions were a good size, for the flavours and the quality of the dishes itreally shouldn 't be so expensive... Overall, an okay experience. I've been a long-time customer, but I hadn’t visited since Otto’s relocated to its larger space. I had a quick dinner there with a friend who had never been before, and it was excellent. It was a quiet evening, and we arrived only an hour before closing, but we still enjoyed great service and a delicious meal. It’s wonderful to see how Otto’s has grown and evolved since its opening. My friend and I both worked at the Victor TGIF, and I remember when the owner would drop by TGIF after closing many years ago.

My wife and I received a warm welcome from a friendly staff member who seated us and asked if we had visited the restaurant before. Since it was our first time, he took the time to explain the menu items, which was very helpful. He also brought fresh bread to our table and assisted us with our order. We will definitely be returning! By the way, the food was fantastic!

This is our go-to spot for pasta dinners, and we’ve always enjoyed our meals here! The bread is served warm, the salads are generous, and the pasta dishes offer excellent portion sizes for the price. If you're nearby or in search of an Italian meal, we highly recommend this place!
