We had lunch here on a very cold and windy day and the pub was nice and warm. We did pay $25 for the carvery which was very much under the pump but the quantity of food was high. The vegetable and salad bars were good with plenty of variety, so too the desert bar.Service at the bar was also under the pump, but managed to get two very nice Irish Coffees about dessert time after the rush was over; glad I was going home on the train and not driving :-)

My son and I visited the Hotel Victor after a lovely ride on the Cockle Train and a jaunt over to Granite Island (without the horses as the weather was poor). While the service at the Hotel was reasonable, the food was decidedly inferior to other pubs in the region. My son had the fish and chips and the fish was soggy and the chips little better. I had the garlic bread which was dry and completely unappetising. Needless to say, we both left half of our meals unfinished. Won't return in a hurry, I'm afraid.
