Had a wonderful catered dinner for 36 at On the Mississippi Restaurant in Vicksburg, Mississippi. As a tour guide for Astro Travel in Tallahassee on the return from our trip to Branson, I had booked a restaurant for dinner while in Vicksburg for the evening. Unfortunately they went out of business, so I needed to find another location for dinner. On the web, I found On The Mississippi Restaurant Catering, which stated they did not serve evening meals. However, since they also catered I sent them an email to ask if they could provide our evening meal. From the time James Dillard answered my email and phone call I had no doubt in my mind he would give us a night to remember. James and staff met us at the door, had the room beautifully decorated for the Christmas season and began to serve salads, beverages, wonderful melt in your mouth roast beef, baked chicken, a variety of vegetables and delicious strawberry shortcake in a very prompt manner.
