Caffe degli Artisti in Vicenza, where we settled down in the outside seating area, after parking our car nearby in the large car park, failed on all points except one: The prices were of a reasonable level. That is, reasonable for a good Italian bar. But here, at Caffe degli Artisti, the cappuccino was lukewarm and tasteless, the tramezzini tired and the service indifferent. I would also discourage a visit to the toilets here. Caffe degli Artisti proved to be a disgrace for the Italian image.
Food was unnoticeably average, but service was too slow (only 1 waiter for service, cleanup and payments) and no way to get a smile or a polite answer out of her. Avoid if possible
Absolutely awful! The girl that was working was beyond rude. We ordered 2 glasses of wine. There was only enough in the bottle for one glass. Instead of opening another bottle, she split it into two glasses. Honestly enough for two sips. The gentleman that came in behind us also ordered a glass of wine. There was not enough in that bottle either. She opened a new one for him. She and the man were looking at us and talking I’m sure about us). We are not from Italy and they made us feel very unwelcome. We have been here for two weeks and this is the only time this has happened.
The owner Miriam is fantastic, very nice and makes the best cappuccino in Vicenza. She doesn't like Sambuca but she loves you the same
Group aperitif, optimally arranged, exquisite staff. Perhaps the bathroom is not the maximum hygiene...
