5 of us arrive for a post-dinner aperitif. Occasion: a friend 's birthday. The place, very nice and with great potential, appears very dirty and chaotic. Not only on the floor (slightly acceptable) but also on the tables (not acceptable). There was even a cigarette butt left on top of one (I have photos that I won 't publish). In ours, however, there were heavy and obvious traces of previous bivouacs (marks from glasses, dirty and shredded napkins). After waiting a quarter of an hour, I headed towards the register to ask if we could order, midnight was near and my friend was having a birthday. With a peremptory gesture with my index finger, I don 't have time to finish the sentence Excuse me, can I order? and the cashier puts me down. A gesture that I consider to be lacking in tact and that I would never have expected even in the worst bar in Caracas. “Shocked,” I head to the table and we finally order. When the cocktails arrived, our request to clean the table seemed like a burden. When cleanliness and making the customer feel at ease should be the first thing in my opinion. Points of view. Randomly, at a certain point in the evening, which lasted about 4/5 minutes, they blast out a fun song. Finding ourselves right under the speakers, for those 3/4 minutes we couldn 't even talk to each other. Around one, also suddenly, a boy opens one of the doors, creating a nice North Pole effect. Everyone (even obviously the neighbors at the table) put on parkas, coats and scarves. It was the signal. The place was closing and they wanted us out of good graces to say the least. Friendly staff. Very patient, especially with customers who take and move chairs from tables to others, without taking into account how a waiter must move around the room to guarantee service. Wines served at temperature, which is not to be taken for granted especially for sparkling wines. Wide choice of aperitif wines. Properly made cocktails, another thing not to be taken for granted. If you want to have a table I recommend booking also for an organizational speech. It is in the center of Udine, give the staff one more reason to be able to better organize themselves with the management of the tables.
