China House - Vevey

Food tends to be good, but the menu lacks the duck and crispy pancakes and the prices are a little expensive for what you get.

I had the satay beef and it was ok, very flavorful. But the menu lacked some more authentic dishes. Loved the tea, but they could add some more options, and more sauce options too. Missed the hot oil I usually add to my chinese food. I liked it, but it's not really authentic.

After a long day of travel from the U.S. I enjoyed a late dinner here with my brother and his son, who live in Vevey. The resturant was my brothers choice. I had the Curry Poulet Rouge and rice. I enjoyed my meal, it was tasty and portions were just right. I was full and didn't need a take home container. Staff was friendly, French speaking and attentive. Meal for 3 was around $80 franks. Although I cant compare with other Chinese resturants in the area, I was happy with the choice here for my first meal in Vevey and would recommend it to others.

Les prix sont relativement élevés pour ce type de restaurant. Le menu A coute 29 francs (c'est le moins cher): vous avez 2 petits rouleaux de printemps, un petit bol de riz, une tranche de poulet pané sauce au citron.En sortant de table, on a encore faim. Les portions sont minuscules. Pas de légume.Pour ce qui est de la qualité, elle est très moyenne. Les rouleaux de printemps sont archi-durs (trop cuits), la poulet pané trempe dans une sauce transparente au citron. Le riz cantonnais a été fait à la va-vite: des morceaux d'oeuf (genre omelette) longs comme le doigt s'y trouvent.En résumé, si vous avez faim, n'y allez pas, vous n'aurez pas assez. Dans le cas contraire, n'y allez pas non plus, le rapport-qualité prix n'en vaut pas la peine.
