Lowood Chinese Restaurant - Vernor

This is the worst sushi place I have had in Montreal! The taste is horrible! And really less choice on the menu compared to other sushi places.

My friend always wants to go here because it's the closest and cheapest AYCE sushi place around us, the last time we went it was surprisely good..

Staff is always friendlyBeen coming with friends and family since it openedManagement is very accommodating as well.

Asking around lowood about the restaurant we received very negative answers although most said they did buy takeaway but do not dine in because they thought the restaurant was dirty. We went and had aloof and yes the floor looked like it needed a good vacuum but everything else looked clean. Did have a look in the kitchen and that looked clean so 8 of us decided to give it a try. We had Banquet number 1 and it was very good . The food was delicious. The service was quick and staff very friendly. We were the only people dining in although there were lots of takeaways happening.

We've been using this little restaurant for years. When buying takeaway or dining in, we've always found the food tasty, the premises clean, tidy and unpretentious. Last night's takeaway was no different. I'm no expert in how Chinese food should taste. Last night's takeaway was no different. The food was tasty and not greasy like some Chinese takeaway. Perhaps when we dine at more sophisticated restaurants we find the flavours are a bit different, perhaps more subtle. We will continue to dine-in or take away.
