Topping Expectations - Vernon

We have eaten at this reassurance twice. The first time was excellent. The food was great, as was the service. That all changed on our second visit. Our waitress took 20 min getting to our table. The reasturantbeas not busy, and she was not the only waitress on duty. She took our drink order..and vanished. After another long wait, she came back with our drinks and took our orders. I ordered the steak ( this was a night the roast prime was the special of the night) and my husband ordered a burger. The waitress got both our orders wrong, brining me the roast beef special and messing up my husbands burger. When I explained I had ordered the steak, she said " that was the steak special" no, its roast beef, whatever you want to call it. She finally relented after I pointed out the difference item I had ordered on the menu. My husband decided to just eat his order after seeing how hostile the waitress was, she finally returned with my steak ( my husband had by now finished his meal) . The steak was well done instead of rare. And as she placed it in front of me she said " I'm glad we could do this for you". I responded " what, get my order right"? We finally just gave up and left..,when she handed us the bill, we could see she had written " striploi" down for my order. Likely the last time we will eat there or recommend to friends

One of the best breakfast places we've been too. We walked in and just about left because it looks pretty old and in need of some freshening up. Wobbly tables and such. We decided to stay and we are sure glad that we did. It was the best breakfast and very reasonably priced. The portions are huge so no one left hungry. Very good menu,lots of options. There were 6 of us and everyone ordered something different. Every meal was delicious. The pancakes and waffles are the best. Service was awesome!

This is the second time we have been to this restaurant, The first time was amazing service and food. This time was horrible. First of all, it was a very hot day. We asked for a jug of water...and waited, and waited. Then we ordered a KT burger with no bacon, and the steak, medium rare...the waitress responded, " the new york steaK'? To which I replied yes. When our food came the bacon was not only still on the burger, the cheese was melted into it, so both ended up coming off. The waitress brought me a very tough prime rib with yorkshire..then was surprised that I was a little put off by this. When I explained to her that I wanted steak, and that was what I ordered, she said,,oh., well we thought you meant out special (no, I SAID new york steak). When I sent that back, she then arrived with a medium to medium well done steak. with mushrooms on the top ( last time my husband ordered the steak there, he had to specially order mushrooms, so I was rather surprised to see mushrooms on it..and im allergic to mushrooms). The steak was medium to medium well, not medium rare, and went from being spiced reasonably to sudden mouthfuls of extreme salt. THEN the waitress said to me " Well, I am glad we could do that for you", and I said to my husband after :" what, glad they could bring me what I actually ordered?". After having three bites of the steak, we decided to just leave. as my husband had finished his meal by the time my arrived, alongside all the other issues. Needless to say, they charged us full price for the "striploin and KT burger" that was marked on the order pad

This place has seen four different restaurants in the past three years. Will this one stick, or is the location going to sink it like all the others??This time around, it's a decidedly casual menu. But the food is surprisingly GOOD. Simple, but effective. I could not find fault with either the soup or the salad. Next time will try a burger. I think this place could give a lot of the casual chains around town a real run for their money...

Service was awesome but food was AWFUL. Asked for grilled spuds and they deep fried them. Waitress took it back to the kitchen. When we finally were served, they told us it had all been redone from scratch, but there were deep fried spuds stuck under my omelet (which had clearly been nuked). VERY rubbery. Even the toast was crunchy...couldn't eat it either. Think it must have gone back in the toaster? Left most of my meal on the plate and told the waitress of the situation but no manager ever came over. Even if it had been cooked right, I thought the portions were skimpy and the omelet was awfully thin, especially for the price gI've the adeed ingredients. If you have ANY expectation of quality food, go somewhere else.
