Sir Winston's Pub - Vernon

Food was flavourful and reasonably priced; service was great, however we didn't appreciate being told, when we asked for our leftovers to be wrapped up, that because we didn't consume all the chicken wings we ordered on the night (wing night) we ate there, we nomally wouldn't be allowed to take them home "I'll let you do it this time, but we lose money on them, so..." So because they weren't consumed at the pub they would be tossed out? Come on! Food waste for the sake of profit? Raise the price if you're so concerned about profit! Furthermore, the pub was at about 25 percent capacity, if that, when we attended, and we purchased significantly more items than wings. Some business is better than no business! Let us take our food home! The pub is also in dire need of an operations manager to ascertain that a thorough cleaning, new carpet and chairs is long overdue. Look up to see air vents that need to be cleaned, unidentifiable splatter marks on the ceiling, dust on the paraphernalia, and lightbulbs that are burned out. This is a decent pub that lacks the critical detail that a successful manager/operations manager should possess. With this attention to detail, this pub can only increase its number of patrons.

Nice little English style pub. We usually order and extra side and split the burger :) Love the onion rings here and the burgers are piping hot!

The staff and service is great. No matter how busy they are you are never forgotten,. The food is amazing. We have taken numerous friend there and they all said they would have no problem going back. They love everything about it. I would recommend Sir Winston Pub to everyone.

Great friendly service. Poutine and livers were both tasty. Homemade chips were unique and hot. The atmposhere on the outside patio was very casual.

This pub has been a local favorite for years--excellent food, nice relaxing atmosphere. This is where the locals go for lunch and great for girls nights or before night clubbing with friends. No children allowed, which gives it a more grown-up atmosphere than most pubs these days. The rooftop patio feels like a nice little get-away from the not-so-picturesque location of right by the highway. In the winter, nice and dark and cozy, try to get a spot by the fireplace.
