Always enjoy the Blue Ox. The food is better. The service was great. They don't care. The place lived on Saturday afternoon. Good work people!!! Price per person: CA$30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We visited once a week for the last 3 weeks. The food is delicious (I try something else every time), the service is great and so friendly. We're coming back!

The Blue Ox is located 20 minutes east of Vernon, on the Vernon Slocan Highway. That said, this is a fine spot to enjoy a tasty lunch.We stopped in for a mid-week lunch meet up with friends who live in Lumby. The seafood artichoke dip starter was stunningly delicious. With a green salad dressed with goat cheese and sweet strawberries, we were off to a good start. The curried shrimp stir fry was tasty, loaded with crisp, fresh veg and just the right size for a lunch.The show-stopper though, was the burger with jalepeno peppers, oodles of cheese, so much goodness atop a grilled beef patty. The fries were fragrant and yummy. As my lunch partners were locals, lots of folks stopped by the table to chat and trade yarns. The Blue Ox is a friendly pub, service was a bit slow, but we were happy with it. Lumby is a very small town located at the foot of the verdant Monashee Mountains, and on the way to Mabel Lake. A lovely, laid back vibe here. Lots of parking, located next to Twin Creeks Motel.

We were at the motel next door, so that was a great option. We have to say that her frying beef dinner was delicious and more than enough.
