I would highly recommend this establishment for breakfast or lunch! It is kid friendly as well! The building has a pretty cool history and dates back to 1885. It was previously a general store and post office). We had a wrap, sandwich and omelette all of which were fantastic.
I cannot say enough good things about this place!! Living in Vernon for 18 years of my life, I grew up coming here all the time! The food is excellent, and the staff is amazing!! I now live forty mins away from Vernon and still come get a bite to eat every once in awhile when I want something that reminds me of being back home. My grandfather travels from the Philadelphia area of PA to come here to get corned beef hash!! I am so glad you guys opened back up again after covid hit!
Absolutely horrible. Shelves were empty. Looked like a front for drugs. Filthy. The women was rude and dismissive. We got a package sandwich that was inedible. Hard roll and rotten lettuce.
Adorable local place. Prices are still so reasonable compared to others. Great place for breakfast.
Read a lot of reviews on this place and had the owner of the Air BnB we stayed at claim that this would be the best breakfast we've ever had. It was not bad, but a far cry from top of the list. The food honestly was fairly standard. It was completely sufficient, but I wouldn't go out of my way to tell anyone they MUST go here.I called about the wait time and they said 5 minutes or less. We waited 25 minutes to be seated. These things happen, quick influx of customers, no big deal. The coffee is a light blend here, if you like something a bit more full bodied or robust, this isn't it. Still, not complaining...that's just a preference. The service team was nice and were doing what they could with a full room. Things were missed and there wasn't enough attention to some items, but they were busy. We got the wrong benedict first time around, perhaps because someone at the table ordered a spinach omelet they jumbled it up a bit and brought a Florentine benedict. Again...not a big deal. The food was very run of the mill. That is not a bad thing, but again, I've had many breakfasts in my life that are far better. The kitchen was pretty quick with the orders considered the amount of business they had. Food was pretty adequately priced compared to most diners or breakfast restaurants. Not sure if we will be back in this town or not, but if we are I'd probably travel into Warwick and check out a few of the options I've seen online there versus coming back here. That does not mean you shouldn't check them out for yourself, I just wasn't overwhelmed and this place was hyped up pretty hard for us.
