Woodland Restaurant - Verdun

The poutine was also a letdown, as the sauce and fries had a different taste and they were not baked as they typically are. It is disappointing to see that Woodland no longer makes their own crust, marking the end of an era for my family as we will not be returning to this establishment.

Pizza and poutine is solid here. Had family in Verdun all my life so I'd have it often when visiting them, always enjoyed it.

These guys have been heroes and have continued their delivery service during this Coronovirus pandemic. They have closed down their in-dining area until further notice but their home delivery and pick-up service is continuing.

Initially, the same feeling arose when I heard about their pizza. I decided to give it a try and unfortunately, it was the latter reaction. However, my boyfriend enjoys their pizza. Personally, I find it to be awful and not worth a second thought. The sauce is bland, yet sweet and watery, the dough seems generic, and the toppings lack flavor and texture. I might receive backlash for saying this, but their pizza is subpar. Their poutine is also a letdown. The fries are mediocre at best, and the cheese and gravy lack taste and quantity, leaving much to be desired. Their subs are forgettable, lacking creativity or originality. But when it comes to their burgers, oh my goodness, their burgers. While there may be a mishap in one out of every ten orders, resulting in a burnt or less fresh patty, most of the time, they serve the most perfectly cooked, juicy, and delicious burger you've ever had. It's truly the best burger you'll find anywhere. So, do you dare to challenge their burger supremacy?

I love the pizza with the dough balls and salad dressing at this restaurant, it's the main reason I keep coming back. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed - it's delicious!
