One day I stumbled upon a photo on Instagram that made me want to try their healthy options. The place is always packed, you can call before to make sure there is a place because I don't think they take reservations. The plates are VERY affordable and fill you up. I have tried the Duo-Santé option and the smoothie bowl is absolutely delicious. Just wished the portion was a little bit bigger for the cheese and the smoothie. I have also tried their Combo crêpe pommes and it was truly delicious as well, just felt like the eggs might've been old. The service is quick and the waiters are very helpful. They also offer almond milk and soy milk if you would like that with your coffee.
We had an excellent experience at Ben Florentine. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Kathleen was friendly and ensured that we were well looked after. We will definitely be coming back again!
I decided to take my wife for a fabulous Giant Tuna Melt sandwich which I have had once before. Our waitress, Genevieve, came by quickly and offered us some coffee. Since I knew what we wanted, I gave Genevieve our order and asked if the sandwich could be split on 2 plates. Did I forget to mention that their sandwich are hugh! Well, we were not disappointed. Their thick country style toast was lightly grilled, and the sandwich contained Swiss cheese and jammed full of tuna salad. On the side, we each had a mountain of fresh fruit and their famous home fries. We were offered some more coffee, as well as some water. Okay, ready for the price, $11.95!!! Unbelievable. It 's hard to imagine one person eating this alone. Enjoy.
I decided to have some lunch at this location in Brossard, but beware, if you are heading west on Tashereau Blvd., it is a challenge trying to cross over Tashereau to get to the other side. I was promptly seated by my waitress, Helene, and spent a few minutes looking through their large menu. They have something for everyone!! They had 6 lunch specials, ranging in price from $8.95 to $13.95. I finally decided to try their Pulled Beef Wrap $12.95). It started with a very wholesome bowl of homemade Minestrone soup, absolutely delicious. My wrap came with either fries or salad, and I opted for the salad. My wrap was delicious! Not too greasy. It came wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla, and included caramelized onions, pickles, and Swiss cheese. I was also nicely surprised with their salad. A mound of baby arugula with tomatoes, cucumbers and radishes. I was given 5 choices of salad dressing, made by Renees, which came individually wrapped. This was a really nice touch. I finished my meal with a good cup of coffee but was disappointed that the only sweetener they carried was Sweet 'n Low. I prefer a healthier choice like Splenda. They also offered dessert for an extra charge of $1.95. Todays choice was a Mini strawberry parfait or Pancake, bananas, honey and chocolate chips. Their lunch specials run from Monday to Friday between 11-3 pm except on holidays). Kudos to Joe, their chef. Enjoy.
We've eaten here at least six times now. There are so many breakfast places in the area, it's very competitive. B&F is relatively new and working hard to reach the top. Their menu has perhaps the widest selection I've seen anywhere, and everything we've had is good to excellent. Service is generally quick, friendly and efficient, but can slow a little at peak periods. Late weekend mornings there is always a lineup, so go earlier if you don't want to wait. NB you need to ask for real maple syrup, it's extra and worth the . Overall very good.
