Joey D's Chicago Style Eatery Pizzeria

We have been coming to Venice for years but this is the first time we have ever visited Joey D’s. We were so impressed by the food and waitress we had the first night we visited that we went back for lunch a day later. The pizza, wings, and mozzarella sticks were so good! Our waitress the first night kept our drinks full and made sure we had everything we needed. We went back for lunch 2 days later but sadly, the pizza crust was over cooked and our waitress only came to our table a few times. She was nice but we didn’t really get any refills. Everything else was delicious including the fried mushrooms! We will definitely go back but not for lunch.

Food is not the same absolutely horrible I used to eat here all the time loved the thin crust but last night the thin crust was sooooo bad n then the cooks n server acted like it was my fault it sucked I will not tell anyone about this place any more they have got to go back to there old recipe JUST SO DISSAPOINTED MUSHROOMS AWFUL PIZZA AWFUL BEEF ROLLS AWFULLLLLLL JUST NASTY PLACE FO NOT BRING UR FAMILY TERRIBLE FOOD N COOKS THERE

Delicious meat sandwiches. Good pizza with lots of cheese.

We are originally from Chicago and this place makes us feel like we are back home. What impressed us the most is that they import their bread from Turano Bakery, the best Italian bread in Chicago. That and their pizza is the best we have had down here yet. 5

Joey D's in Venice is our go to place for some great pizza, salad, subs and more... We love coming here because it's always nice and clean, spacious, great service and great food. We have tried their deep dish pizza, regular pizza, gyros, cheesesteak, fries, salads, chips and fried pickles and it's all great. Their menu is jam packed with a variety of different plates, subs, pasta, salads, appetizers, drinks etc... If you like sports they are chock-full of sports memorabilia. They have live sports playing throughout the restaurant on a ton of flatscreens. They have a fully-stocked bar area with bar seating and everyone is adequately spaced out. The booths are large and there's plenty of room inside for a large family or party dining. There is also outdoor dining area, to the right of the front entrance, with tables and booths available. Plenty of parking outside on the side of the restaurant and in front of the restaurant. They are located right next to and south of Legacy Trail and on the east side of the 41.
