Osteria Ai 40 Ladroni - VENEZIA

We were looking for a spot away from the tourists where the locals live and eat and we found it here. Food, wine just perfect and service and hospitality even better! Pls do yourself a favour and head here away from the crowds and just relax and take it all in. Perfect!

My partner and I eat here after being recommended it by our hotel receptionist. We had told the receptionist we wanted to try some local venetian cuisine rather than ‘touristy food’. The waiter at this restaurant recommended some great food to us, I had the crab gnocchi and my partner had the black squid spaghetti- both fantastic. The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend, but it does get busy even on a Monday and off season so make sure you book.

Sono stato in questo ristorante tre volte tra dicembre e gennaio, sia a pranzo che a cena. Ho mangiato deliziosamente e bevuto bene. Il personale è molto gentile e cortese. Mi trovo sempre molto bene qui.

Menù semplice, accogliente e variegato. Ho scelto di ordinare la frittura di pesce, piuttosto abbondante ma parecchio unta e con poco gamberetti. Un po' deludente. Ottima la panna cotta con biscotti, servita su un mini tovagliolo di carta, a un prezzo di 2 € per il coperto.

Sono un cliente fedele ai 40 Ladroni da almeno 20 anni. Qui trovo ancora la vera Venezia. Milo e Mauri sono i protagonisti! Veri veneziani!
