The noise from the next hall was so loud during speeches. Embarrassed for organizers. The food was shocking. 5 courses. They had 5 chances to get this right. From a Caesar salad, which consisted of limp lettuce dressed in sauce and that was it, to a main course which was so dry you had to eat a vegetable with the meat so you wouldn't choke. We didn't even receive any sauce as they were so short on food. Dessert isn't even worth mentioning. Staff were clearly distressed, embarrassed and struggling to keep up. Not their fault. Bad bad management. I would not recommend this venue for private or business functions.
I decided last minute to have a Christmas Party for my staff at work. We had over 70 people attending. The staff at Riviera Parque was very helpful to pick a menu with full bar included at a very reasonable price. We had a tasty antipasto with prosciutto, fruit and vegetables. Then a homemade pasta with an incredible tomato sauce. Followed by steak and two pieces of chicken in cognac sauce. Delicious. Then salad at the end, as Italians prefer. Salad has vinigar. You want to enjoy the food with good wine and vinigar does not mix well with this. Also iItalians believe that it cleanses the palate after dinner as you get ready for desert. For dessert we had Italian ice cream covered in chocolate crust. Then we had espresso, liqueurs and lots of dancing til 1:30 am. It was a memorable night. Best of all I paid for everything less than what it would have cost me for liquor alone at most restaurants. For special occasions, try them. You will love the food and service and the price.
This is a huge complex consisting of a number of different banquet halls, under one roof. The place is beautiful. The staff were friendly and accommodating and service was very good, as was the 6 course meal we had.
We were in the Portabello Banquet room for an IPA Christmas party. The bartender, alone, was great. He was super accommodating and quick. We were served a 6 course dinner and considering we were 100 people, the service was done well. There was just the right amount of time between courses and no one had to wait while the rest of his table ate. The room was beautifully decorated. The Maitre'd was always available and the night was great. The Portabello is just one of many great rooms in this facility. The place was packed but it never felt that way. Lovely place.
We went there for a couples shower so let me just start off with saying its a night club so not good for special functions. That's my opinion but let me explain so you can follow and understand why I say this. So my hubby is partially disabled so I see a lot of things for a person like him with mobility issues that this place is not a good place to be in. There are 3 stairs to go on to the main floor and then 3 stairs to go up to the seating area. The seating area is not only crammed but the chairs wobble and when I sat down I couldn't get close to the table because I discovered that they put another small table under the bigger table. So for my hubby to go get food anyone with mobility issues stairs are a nuisance. So now lets talk about the set up of the buffet, the plates were not facing the end of the table when you are coming up the stairs. The plates and cutlery were at the beginning of the other end of the tables so that caused a lot of confusion and people were budding in to get a plate. The food the most important considering it was our meal it wasn't a lot of food. There was prosciutto, some antipasto dishes, cheese lamb skewers , chicken kabobs, shrimp cocktail and one kind of pasta in white. It was little hats with some garlic and broccoli. Outside on the patio the chef was barbecuing steak and shrimp. So the pasta and the steak were so salty you couldn't eat it. While were eating they mention there's a patio outside if you want to go eat outside you can. Well I thought oh they must have some cutlery set up outside, no wishful thinking. No cutlery no nothing outside and there dinky little tables meant for you to have a drink not your dinner. The waitress would come sometimes to clear our plates and the first time we asked for the bottled water she brought it the second time it never came and our dinner plates were in our way while were trying to have our desert. I don't know where she was but she was nowhere in sight.
