My husband and I had the rare opportunity to have lunch together two weeks ago and stumbled upon this gem of an Italian eatery. It was after the lunch rush so you would think that there wouldn't be much of a selection for lunch. The owner made us feel like we were at Nonnna's house! She made us the most delicious oven baked veal sandwiches ever! Even the tomato sauce is slow baked in the oven. She offered a side order of olives for my husband and beets (I loved them)! for me. The service was awesome. The buns were perfect; not too much bread, absolutely fresh, and just crusty enough. I never eat the bread and I did that afternoon. The chairs were really comfortable and the place is really clean. Even the ladies' bathroom was really clean after a busy afternoon rush. What a nice break from a busy day. We would definitely go back. The pricing was really reasonable, especially when you consider what a sandwich costs at competing places. Mary is amazing!

A diamond in the rough! One would never expect the quality of food from a small "fast food" restaurant. The food is authentic and delicious just like Nonna used to make!
