Restaurant Villa d'Este

We dined here in June 2017 and had a great dinner. The service was top notch and the appetizers, meal, dessert and wine were excellent. Our only disappointment was that they had run out of our chosen dish, stuffed quail. I had Veal Picatta instead and it was YUMMY the rack of lamb was perfect/

We went for a brunch for my aging grandparents’ 60th anniversary. The food was great (note: the buffet is better than the "à la carte" course), and the view is splendid. I recommend for special occasions.

For mothers' day my daughter made the reservation for brunch almost a month before; apparently whoever confirmed it, forgot to take credit card number resulting with a call from metr'd who wanted to cancel the reservation and because of my daughter's insisting he told her to be at the resraurant earlier than the confirmed time which we did. We were treated like the people on soup line as if we were not customers and having waited in the corner awhile finally they remembered to seat us. This was a restaurant we had been going quite often mostly with our guests. The way we were treated, especially on a mothers' day, showed us they did not care for custimers' feelings.

After a long day of driving, my husband and I love staying at Château Vaudreuil and dining in the Villa d'Este Restaurant. The food is excellent, the wait staff attentive and friendly, and the views of the grounds and the lake are gorgeous. It's amazing that a hotel and restaurant right off a busy highway can be so peaceful. Weddings here must be spectacular.

This was the first time my great grandsons (8 & 10 yrs) have experienced fine dining and we were all amazed at how appropriately and circumspectly they behaved. They went from little rascals to little gentlemen right before our eyes. And, all because of the kindly way our waiter (Bernard) treated them. They handled their food perfectly and respectfully and for the first time, ate every morsel. Of course, the food was delicious, prepared with care and presented with love. Desserts were outstanding, especially the Grand Marnier Crème Brûlée. Lucky we were staying at the Chateau Veudreuil so we got to order it from room service every night we were there. I am addicted! The Villa d'Este is definitely fine dining for both young and old and great value to boot!
