After ten hours of driving through a winter storm, we were looking for a good meal in a location convenient to Hwy 40 west of Montréal. Following a brief Internet search, we got off the highway at westbound exit 35 and after having difficulty finding the original pick, we spotted Restaurant Gaj and decided to go there instead. It turned out to have been an excellent choice. I agree with the many other reviewers who have mentioned the quality and great value of this restaurant's offerings. I would give it a 4.4. (Note that this restaurant is in Vaudreuil-Dorion, not in Québec City.)
Don't go for the decor but for the food, I spent 6 months in Kolkata and this food is as close to what I was eating over there. Butter chicken is not as spicy as it could be but other items I had were. If you want authentic and delicious Indian food, this is the place to go
We have been here numerous times! Food is amazing, fair price, portions are great and the service is kind, professional and pleasant.
This is a nice little place right off the highway that serves good authentic Indian food. The decor is not very Indian and more generic. Service is average and prices are affordable.
