Your pumpkin soup is really amazing! I also had the falafel with hummus and I loved it! Make sure you clearly order no garlic sauce (mayonaise).
Great homemade hummus and falafel. Everything made from scratch, from soaking the chickpeas to the pita bread. Seriously, some of the best hummus and falafel. Large selection of vegetarian Laotian dishes, all can be requested without fish sauce. The fruit shakes are also vegan pineapple was in season when we were there. Small veggie and herb garden at the restaurant, and Mama Sababa told us she has a small, mostly organic farm nearby where most of the veggies come from.
This restaurant offers a variety of vegan dishes including hummus, falafel, fried rice/noodles with tofu, pasta, and pumpkin soup. The hummus has a good texture but is slightly bland, while the falafel is tasty but small in size. The portion size of the hummus falafel dish may seem a bit pricey due to its small size. I would recommend trying the roasted rice/noodles with tofu instead, although the tofu may also be slightly bland. Make sure to request the dish without eggs for the vegan version. The owners are friendly and accommodating, making this one of the few vegan-friendly restaurants in Vang Vieng worth giving a try.
I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant. The falafel was very dry and seemed to be from a cheap industrial package. The hummus lacked flavor and for the price of over $5, it was not worth it. I would not recommend this place at all.
The falafels were not very flavorful and the houmous was average. The pita bread was pleasantly soft and warm. Unfortunately, there were no other vegan options on the menu due to the absence of tofu. Despite a sign in the restaurant indicating the availability of vegan food, the waiter seemed to have difficulty understanding the concept of veganism.
