This time I ordered a platter with chopsuey, fried rice and shrimp. My rice wasn't hot. My shrimp was deep fried. It was crispy yes but I assumed, they cooked or heated my rice earlier and just let it stand while frying my shrimp. The chopsuey wasn't that hot too. The girl server is still friendly though.
I ordered a plate with sweet n sour pork, fried rice and chopsuey. It's like a meal thing for 12$. The food was served after 10 mins. It came really hot which I enjoyed. The plate is good for one person but I got full so I still brought some home. The server was friendly and keep on asking if I still needed anything. It wasn't busy when I got there so the place was quiet as well. Washroom was clean too. The chopsuey is lil bit bland though compared to chopsuey of chow boyz. The sweet n sour pork is more sweet than sour. And it was breaded too. Garlic rice had corn, carrots and peas.
Ordered take out yesterday and enjoyed it. It's a good basic Canadian Chinese cuisine, but the best dish ever is the Ginger Beef. It's got lovely strips of ginger and green onions in a light sauce. It's my favorite from this restaurant and the best I've tasted.
I love traveling to different town and city, and try their Chinese restaurant. To see how good they are, I don't order an expensive, restaurant specials, but a simple dish, Chicken Chow Mein or Egg Foo Young, whether the place is big or small. Hands down, in my ALL life, this is the worst place I ever visited. What I received, was half cooked noodle straight out of Lipton's chicken noodle soup(Or that's what it tasted like). As for the chicken, it wasn't even real chicken. Some pressed, sliced piece of chicken(Tasted more like cheap ham) and everything was cold, especially the meat. I can't remember the price but, it wasn't cheap because between me and my friend, we paid 40 dollars and he had a sandwich. It really shocked me because, it wasn't a matter of different falvors and taste that I'm not accustomed to. It was a SLOPPY, lazy and untasty cooking. If the cooks at this restaurant read this, I want to tell them. GO OUT AND TRY YOUR COMPETITORS' FOOD before you decide to put out anything on the menu. Even my dog can cook better than this place.
We visit here occasionally but more often do take out. The building itself is very run down and old. But the food is good and consistent. We have always enjoyed our meals and they have generous portions.
