Yook Korean Grilled Bbq Bistro 육 코리안 바베큐

We decided to try this place because I wanted to try something that was different, instead of always driving to chosun. what would be different? what does yook have? I decided for an appetizer and tried her deep fried dumplings. I found it different and would have wanted a boiled version, but yes, it was good. my wife ordered the beef bullgogi and I had some of it. a bit dry on the top pieces and I wish that more sweet soy to go it up with my rice. I ordered the sweet sojapork and it was good, but I must say that I have a sweet tooth and I like my sauces sweet. I'd eat again.

Came here with my family on a Sunday hoping to have dinner. The server asked if I had a reservation and when I said no, she laughed in my face. I asked why she laughed and she said because you didnt make a reservation and i said I am asking you nicely if you can accommodate us. A simple no would have been more acceptable instead of offending us with an insult. We were not forcing them to accommodate us, we were simply checking if they had we can get in. If not, we would just leave without saying anything and would probably try going back another time.But the staff laughing in my face for not calling ahead is simply not acceptable. I usually support small businesses but the behavior of their staff is disgusting and they shouldnt treat paying customers that way. If i can leave zero stars i would.

I visited Yook a few weeks ago and WOW, so so so so delicious. Each dish had so much flavor, the spicy pork belly was very tender and a great portion for the price. I have had seafood pancake at other restaurants and it has been uncooked or too much dough. This was the perfect green onion seafood pancake, the dough was soooo crunchy and the fillings so fresh, HUGE portion and the hot plate it comes on keeps it hot for the entire meal. I ate the leftovers cold the next day and it was great that way as well .Our server was kind and helpful , I will for sure be back 5 5!

A hidden gem in the Vancouver area. We were there on a Sunday night, and it was not busy at all. About 25 filled. Recommend 16: Gochujang Samgyupsal pork belly marinated in spicy gochujang . this got me craving kbbq again days after! Banchan was delicious. Definitely had refills. Great customer service. Inside is pleasant to look at with all the various plants.
