Atmosphere: Music was pumped way too loud, it was difficult to have a conversation without yelling and spitting. . Service: Meh. We stood at the door for a solid 4 minutes with the server walking past us 3 times without acknowledging if we wait or at least put us on the waiting list. We eventually went up to the counter and asked what the deal was.
Love the food quality here. I had a Chicago Dog (in my opinion the pinnacle of Hotdog Technology) and Waffle Fries. The only thing I can say is DDDAAAMMMMNNN, that was a F# %king good hotdog. The fries are a thing unto themselves.<br/ <br/ You just have to ignore the lame hipster vibe.... Luckily the staff are actually friendly enough to overcome this. What’s Up? Hot Dog! is nestled in the former Master Chef location along East Hastings Mike looks around at WUHD in wonder. He used to hang out with friends at Master Chef back in the day, tucking into an egg salad sandwich, picking at homemade fries, sipping a coke from a can. We’re a long way from Master Chef in this newly redesigned, retro diner playing punk music.
Really crappy service - paid over $40 for 3 hot dogs and 3 orders of fries to go and had a pint while I was waiting - server was curt and unfriendly. When we got home there was only 1 order of fries - and...More
