Rain Or Shine Ice Cream - Vancouver

I absolutely loved Rain or Shine during the hot days this week in Vancouver. They offer three vegan flavors that are clearly labeled on the menu. The gluten-free waffle cone and sugar cone were both delicious. The staff was very knowledgeable and made sure to confirm my order, which I appreciated. Their handcrafted ice creams were amazing, with a perfect balance of creamy texture and natural flavors that weren't too sweet. I really enjoyed my experience at Rain or Shine!

There are typically a few vegan options available at this restaurant. While they are not the best quality, they are also not the worst. Considering the price, it may be more worthwhile to purchase higher quality dairy-free options from nearby grocery stores.

I tried the vegan sundae and it was amazing! It consisted of vanilla ice cream, berry compote, chocolate sauce, and candied hazelnuts. It was absolutely divine!

I was just accidentally wandering in the neighbourhood and saw a long queque of people lining up for ice-cream, so I decided to give it a try. They had 3 vegan flavours (1 permanent and 2 seasonal), all made of coconut milk. I tried Salted Fudge and Mocha. Portion was decent for the price paid, and I appreciated it was home-made. Taste was average (I preferred the Salted Fudge), not the best ice-cream I had in my life, but also not the worst.

My husband and I were excited to visit this ice cream shop as we are big fans of ice cream. We tried three seasonal flavors: Oatmeal Brown Sugar, Pecan Pie, and Apple Crumble. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the Oatmeal Brown Sugar flavor as the texture was not right. The woman had difficulty scooping it and had to run the container under warm water. The ice cream was in little chunks at the bottom of our cups and had a chewy texture. The other two flavors were fine but lacked flavor. Overall, we found the ice cream to be bland and were disappointed as we were hoping to find a good ice cream place in the area. Despite the nice amount of ice cream in the small split scoop, the lack of flavor and poor texture made it not worth the price.
