Pizzeria Barbarella - Vancouver

This happened to be the first restaurant my husband and I visited when we arrived in Vancouver for our holiday. Great atmosphere. Sizable beer list. Pizza is superb, a good 12" pie. House made red sauce is fantastic. Ordered a single pie to split, which apparently is uncommon as our server gave us an odd look. Based on the other patrons there, everyone was ordering their own pie because the product is that delicious. We ordered one of the pies with the fennel sausage that gave me the tingly sensation at the hinge points in my jaw. Smaller place that is pretty full. Lots of take away orders. Highly recommend if you're craving pizza in which the ingredients are locally sourced.

Delicious pizza. Thin crispy crust with very fresh and high quality toppings. Not the cheesy, oily mess you often get at other pizzerias. I had some issues with ordering through Foodora, but the staff at Pizzeria Barbarella were very friendly and sorted it out. Highly recommended if you are Viking the Mount Pleasant area in Vancouver.

90 seconds is all it takes to create your order. Fresh arugula (rocket) is scattered over top once it's removed from the oven. Lots of choices for both meat-eaters and vegetarians (me). If you want to avoid the child-friendly atmosphere, stop by after 7 pm. Friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

We LOVED this pizza! Not too thick, not too thin. Just perfect! Real basil, real buffalo mozzarella (not the supermarket shredded kind). The sauce was just right, too. The dough was absolutely delicious. We tried their pizza margherita, a plain one and the one with roasted cremini mushrooms. Delicious! This isn't your typical pizza place, it's a restaurant, so you don't get a small-medium-large-extra large pizza choice. It's just lunch size or dinner size. We went with the dinner size. It was just right for us and we enjoyed it fully.
