Martini's Whole Wheat Pizza - Vancouver

This place has been around for a long timeOnly got to try it just last weekTo my surprise its nicer inside than outside.

We've lived in the area for many years. Even though I think the food is very much average, there is obviously a good reason the restaurant has been around for over 40 years. It is a great place to have a meal if you get hungry, while discovering Vancouver on West Broadway.

After the Vancouver Canadians game we decided that a pizza would be a nice snack so we drove down to Martini's on Broadway. Our pizza of choice was a large (14 inch) Hawaiian (ham and pineapple). Normally Martini's puts out a very nice pizza however I'm sorry to report that the Hawaiian was all but tasteless. The cook probably had a bad evening.

Slow service (we waited more than an hour), waitresses surly (because my friend got up and asked where our food was), food inedible. Waitress didn't bother to clear my barely touched soup bowl before dumping our mains on the 2 person table without a word. Maybe because we were two women? The man at the next table was seated, served and out the door while we waited. So painfully obvious that he apologized. The waitress didn't.
