3.7/5 Wow I like this place sooooo much. The menu items are a bit 'odd ' selection which I had never seen other places in Van. You can get a meatball with tuna meat, and you also can order their ' signature ' frozen apple with ice cream stuffing. Highly recommend!!!!!

The atmosphere was wonderful and the burger was fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant for a group of friends looking to have a great night out! The beer selection could be improved, especially considering the many great craft breweries in Vancouver.

“Mamie Taylor’s” is one of those places I like recommend when suggesting a unique spot. A place for great food and drink, with original offerings and a stand out theme; that is also a little under the radar. Most memorable for me is their taxidermy pieces and their absinthe flights. However having wild life stuffed and mounted on the walls and above your head isn’t for everyone, as is drinking liquorice flavoured spirits. But for those who relish the different, like myself, their is a strong appreciation for the place.

Great value for happy hour! Their $6 house red could be $7 and I woudnt bat an eye. Most $6 happy hours wine is probably more like $5 or even $4.50. Their sliders is a breaded tomoto slider. Tasted like a menage a trois of beef slider, fish burger and buffalo wing. Slider bun with arugla, breaded tomato with nice crunch but texture of tomato could pass for fish in blind eye taste test , basted with buffalo sauce. I tasty bite definitely. Like a 'smut ' slider.<br/ <br/ Ham grenades were fantastic warm, crispy and cool. The ham gave it an subtle smokyness, crispy crust and soft inside tator, geled together with garlic mayor and pickled something to cut the creaminess of the potato and sour cream. Another tasty bite<br/ <br/ Chicken wing had nice batter but the chicken was nothing special but for 1 dolla, that make me HOLLA! <br/ <br/ Lmab meatball was moist, nice little sauce but couldnt taste the date. If the date flacour qs more present, ita sweetness would have tied the lamb and sauce together. So it was pretty good but fell a bit short but for $1 , who can complain except a cheap ass. Im Asian but not that cheap<br/ <br/ LOVED the atmosphere though. Scott the bartender super helpful and great HONEST recomendations.

We had an intriguing beginning to our Chinatown Cocktail Crawl. Despite getting sidetracked by the Absinthe Flight and Bourbon Flight, we only tried one cocktail. I appreciated the unique and innovative concept of their 'modern American' food and drinks. I look forward to returning for their happy hour menu, offering pub fare for a very affordable price. Hopefully, the stuffed animals on the walls will be friendlier to me next time, at least in my imagination.
