La Taqueria Pinche Taco Shop

This is my second visit to this location in the past 3 years. I am originally from Central Mexico and this Mexican restaurant never disappoints, even though I now live in Seattle.

I discovered this restaurant located very near our accommodation in Vancouver and was pleasantly surprised. The outdoor seating was charming, the staff was welcoming, and the food was fresh and delicious.

During our recent trip to Victoria, we were on the hunt for a cozy restaurant to escape the rain after venturing out to the countryside.

I would give this restaurant a rating of 4.5. The decor, menu, beers, food, and service are all authentically Mexican, making it one of the best Mexican experiences you can find in Vancouver. The service was good, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was particularly outstanding. The fish and pork cornitas served in soft shell tacos were fantastic. The restaurant also offers an outdoor patio with ample seating, as well as indoor seating options. Parking is available on the street for a fee, as well as in a nearby parking lot across the street.

I purchased some tacos from their food truck on Georgia Avenue. It was a disappointing experience. The tacos were dry and lacked salsa. I paid $17 for two tacos plus a tip. I ended up transferring all the toppings from one taco to the other shell. They were charging $5 for a soda, which seemed excessive. This place used to be great, but now a meal of two tacos and a burrito without a drink cost me $40, and I had to eat it on the side of the road. It's a shame to see their quality decline while their prices soar.
