Kyo Korean BBQ & Sushi House

I am torn as I write this review for Kyo. I waited a week--long enough for the initial anger to dissipate. I find reframing my experience helps: Do not consider this a normal restaurant that have waiters who "wait" on you and cater to your needs. No, view this as a "buffet" staffed entirely by busboys--people neither trained nor show any inclination to making you feel comfortable or welcomed, and who are clearly frazzled by their jobs. Then you won't be so disappointed.The basics: the "all-you-can-eat" dinner buffet for $30 is not that bad a deal, especially if you enjoy eating. The food for the most part is pretty good quality. The deep-fried wontons and the chicken karaage were a miss. But more than edible. Beyond the basics, expect very little. We had to ask multiple times for wasabi. We asked for water--they gave us a whole pitcher, but no glasses! Then the mango pudding came, but no spoons. After trying to flag someone down, they plunked down a couple of forks and said "That's all we have." Wft?? The clincher: I tried asking our "server" if he could take a snapshot for us. On my first try, he had an armful of plates and understandably could not help. Then on my second try when he held nothing but an empty tray, his only reaction was a grimace, a wave of the hand and then he walked away. Wtf?? I realize it's not a server's job to take your picture, but I've never had someone flat out refuse to help. So to summarize: the basic service is there: food was brought, plates were cleared. But beyond that, you will likely get very annoyed, very miffed. I left leaving the smallest tip I've ever left at a restaurant. The only thing keeping it from being zero is that they brought our dishes quickly and cleared our plates.

A really fun evening . BBQ on the table yourself is so fun and tasty. The food was fantastic off the menu as well. A must to BBQ the food yourself . The service we had wasn't great but the food was really great. If you get a chance make a reservation and enjoy :)

Came here with a large party for a birthday celebration on a Saturday night. Thank goodness they take reservations. We didn't mind paying the set gratuity for 6 or more people as we felt we didn't have to rush out of here. Service was S-L-O-W but I feel that it's the management's fault. Not enough staff. We had to ask for extra forks and food a few times. Either forgot or too busy or both. A big selection of meat to choose from to BBQ such as lamb, chicken, pork, beef, & short ribs. Seafood selection was salmon, shrimp, & squid to cook yourself. Other items were salads, noodles, appetizers, deep fried foods, tofu, & sushi. Mostly a mixture of Korean, Chinese, & Japanese. 3 people were vegetarians which they weren't too impressed with the buffet. They ordered udon noodles and was ok. You get to order based on the number of pieces you can eat. It is fun if you want to cook and chat at the same time. Not so fun if you end up cooking more than chatting. You're charged for the food and bottomless soda is two bucks extra.It's my 4th time here and probably will be back. Hopefully more staff next time.

Team decided to do an all you can eat tea dinner at Kyo Koren BBQ and Sushi house. Food in general was good. Service was slow . They brought out food and no dishes. We had raw meats for BBQ but the bbq was not turned on and then we have no metal tongs to flip meat on bbq with. seem to take a long time to get plates. Getting green tea was also very slow. Boy table had no cups. The boys table figured it out early , order lots of food all on first round. We were there early and it was not busy at all. not sure why we could not get plates and cups on tables. We had two separate tables. There were approx. 25 of us. Not cheap for $28.95 plus 15% tip.

Kyo is a fair restaurant, service and food are not awesome, but it's reasonable for its price. They always forget to bring something and the temperature inside can be quite cold even on winter. I asked the waiter twice to adjust it, but nothing happened. We had to leave earlier because it was freezing cold.
