This restaurant has undergone so many changes over the years, and my husband and I thought we would try it today after some disappointing times. Our family loved their pizza many years ago, but then it went downhill. The interior remains the same, nothing too exciting, but somehow sweet. There was a cook in the kitchen and a guy who delivered supplies and a hard working pleasant server took care of all in the restaurant. It's small just about 10 tables. We were very happy to find that our food was really good. We shared Calamari and it was original, delicate and very tasty. Then we split a thin crust pizza and it was also very good. We had wine with dinner and the bill was $50 for two of us. It is a good local small hole in the wall and we will definitely go back and/or remove order.
After a long flight from Britain, we stumbled upon this restaurant. We had low expectations, but were pleasantly surprised. The pizza and salad we ordered were delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful. If I were in Vancouver longer, I would definitely come back to this place.
My friend and I grabbed take out from here on a weeknight. They were pretty quick at getting our meal ready, which we appreciated. But then I understood why. The food was reheated. We both tried different greek dinners had the calamari dinner, my friend had the lamb special. The rice had no taste, and was obviously reheated. It was crispy where they had warmed it back up. You know when you leave rice exposed to their and it gets that crisp to it? That's what this was like. The potatoes were obviously reheated as well, and not very well. I think my calamari was freshly cooked, it wasn't terrible. It tasted okay, but still not great. Everything was bland. I don't eat lamb, so I didn't try my friends, but she said it wasn't very good. There was a lot of fat that she had to eat around, and it just didn't taste very good. The Greek salad was terrible. It was way too lemony and everything was either overripe or under ripe. We picked up, so we didn't leave a tip, and the lady that helped us seemed very upset about that. Once we paid she stopped being as polite. I didn't try to pizza, which seems to have good reviews, I might go back and try it at some point. But the Greek meals really turned me off, so I'm not sure I'll be going back.
We hadn’t tried this restaurant for several years but thought we’d give it another go. Not bad. Fairly crispy base if not quite thin crust. Good toppings. Happy that it’s back to what it was several years ago.
