I used to come here for lunch regularly, but I have been disappointed in my last few visits. The prices have increased slightly, which I understand due to inflation, but it still seems pricey compared to other restaurants. What really disappointed me was that they not only raised prices, but also reduced the portion sizes of the food. If they are going to raise prices, they should at least keep the portion sizes the same. The final straw for me was when they stopped using the traditional slow-roasted meat for their donairs and switched to a bland, pre-prepared alternative. How can they still call it a donair without the classic meat?
The donairs are fantastic at this restaurant. The staff is amazing and I appreciate how excited they are to make the best donair I've ever had.
Great food and good prices. You get a big serving, anyone saying you don't is either lying or delusional about what a meal costs in Vancouver these days. The people are nice and if there is a wait it is just because they are very popular with folks in theneighborhood. I recommend this spot!
The Donair Dude is not the same anymore. They have removed the traditional lamb spits and now serve ground lamb instead. As a fan of donairs, I was very disappointed to receive my worst ever donair from them. It seems the new ownership has made some changes that have ruined the experience for me. Sadly, I will have to say goodbye to my favorite lunch spot.
Overpriced small portions packed in big container. They give two small scoops of greasy chicken and 2 bigger scoops of rice. You looking at &20 platter size of pigeon portion with a drink no tips included. This is greedy and greasy business. Profit theymake on food is 10 times the cost. Don?t bother going here, there is much more cheaper and better tasting shawarma places aroundthe city.
