We went there last week, we ordered a pitcher of beer and they brought it in 10 minutes and after that waited for about 25 minutes till the waiter came to
Over the weekend, my wife and I decided this spot (Cafe Luxy) to try out something new.
While in Vancouver, we had an excellent dinner at the Cafe Luxy. We ordered Veg' Lasagna, Veg' Pizza a Special Pasta and a gluten free Penne Arrabiatta. All of the courses were extremely tasted and we really enjoyed it. It was so good that if we could we would had visited here again. An efficient service was on top of that. Go there and enjoy the food and the atmosphere!
First place we went to during our trip.At first it seemed good. A guy took our drink order and delivered the drinks quickly. We ordered a veggie pasta and spaghetti meatballs.A few mins later were told no spaghetti but could substitute penne. That was ok we were very tired and hungry so weren't fussed about shape of pasta. At this point, a table of four had finished their meal, a table of three were having drinks, I think there was one other couple also asking for the bill and a single diner. No sign of our food. 45 minutes passed we had finished our drinks. Bear in mind mains are supposed to be served with garlic toast and Caesar salad.A woman in the kitchen was making the salads and garlic toast. One guy focused on pizza and one guy on pasta. At this point single guy got his main. 45 mins !!This is when I started to think they were having issues. After a few more minutes the table three got their salads. By now a lone guy walked in he asked the waitress what the soup of the day was. She had to ask the chef. The waitress looked bored most of the time but couldn't be bothered to know what was coming out of the kitchen! Finally another couple walked in and had their order taken. Two salads were prepared and instead of being given to us, which if the waitress had bothered to pay any attention to the customers, would have realised should have come to us, she gave asked one of the chefs who told her to give them to the couple. This is when I decided enough is enough almost an hour with little to no attention. I could go into even more detail about false promises but I'm sure you get the picture. We said we didn't want the food and would pay for the drinks. Even that was an issue. They had no change and had to run to the kitchen asking for someone in the kitchen to pull change out of their pockets!
