Cactus Club Cafe First Canadian Place

Came for happy hour yesterday and it was the worst experience I’ve had with a Cactus Club. Our server Liz clearly appeared disinterested and lacked basic service skills. Throughout the entire time we were there, she never inquired about our drinks or offered to take food orders. She maintained a consistent unfriendly demeanor. Despite my polite requests for napkins, they were forgotten not once, but twice. I even reminded her the second time that she forgot but she still didn’t bring it to. When we got the bill, she was leaning on our table waiting for us to pay and didn’t say a word. It was kind of awkward? Normally a server would say thank you how was everything but she dropped the bill handed the machine to us. I wanted to make a statement to leave no tip to reflect the service but I’ve been a server so I took consideration the other hospitable staff members, like the hostesses, who likely rely on shared tips. The hostesses were lovely but I am sure it’s evident to her team that improvements are needed regarding Liz’s fundamental serving skills.

We fell in love with this place! Only a block from our hotel we were here for 4 days and ate at this restaurant 3 times! Get the Bellini! Here's a tip, it comes in a large, your welcome ? the szchechuan (sp? Lettuce wraps were excellent so was the Thai curry bowl and the fish tacos, everyone loved the kale salad too and the ravioli. Highly recommend! The service was top notch. We had to split our checks and then also split the drinks from that, the waitress didn't blink an eye, yes no problem she said and she did it fast and correctly with a party of 6!

Super yummy prawn raviolli and fries. I’ve tried all types and highly recommend yam fries and truffle fries ?. Nice and friendly server!! Drinks are yum too!!

Very relaxing with a great atmosphere. Food was very good along with wine selection. Service is excellent.

I was here for celebrating my friend's birthday. Ordered chicken lettuce wrap and peach sour beer. My partner ordered 2 kinds of sushi here. Kalamari for share. The lettuce wrap was good and a little spicy. This beer is my favourite! If you pick one of those sushi, I'll recommend the salmon one! The food was good but nothing super amazing.We had a table in the patio and the server did well work. It was a beautiful day out.
