A&W Restaurant - Vancouver

While in Vancouver for a medical procedure and staying at the Holiday Inn on Broadway, I came across an A&W located just a short walk from the hotel entrance. One evening, I decided to grab a quick burger to-go from this small spot, which also had some seating available. My order was prepared promptly, but I realized upon returning to my room that there was no ketchup for my fries and no napkins provided. If these items were self-serve, I must have missed it. Despite this minor inconvenience, the food was delicious, as one would expect from a reputable franchise like A&W.

If you want a burger from a fast food joint I found A&W to have the best burgers. Full disclosure: I recently got a few coupons for a free burger. Normally I don't go to any fast food joints because I am trying to be healthy. I can't remember the last time I got a burger from A&W but the burger I got last week was so good I went and got another one the next day from another location. The burger looks home made definitely does not look over processed. The lettuce seemed fresh and it had bacon and cheese on the Teen Burger. A&W has been doing a lot of advertising on TV lately and as I said earlier, it has been a long time since I had an A&W burger but I think they are a lot better than my recollection of past experience so if you have not tried A&W lately you might want to give it a try.

There are many of these in the Vancouver area. It is famous for its root beer drink and the hamburger. I tried its beyond meat burger which is a plant based burger . It was good . I also tried the sweet potato fries. its probably not health food but it was a delicious treat

This restaurant is much better than the 24-hour A&W at Cambie and West Broadway. It is cleaner and the staff are more professional and pleasant. I brought my laptop to kill time and they offer wireless internet, just like the other location, but this one has a nicer atmosphere. My only complaint is that there are a lot of smokers outside, possibly from the nearby office building taking their breaks. While smoking is common in Vancouver, I personally find it to be a toxic behavior. Some may argue that my choice of meal at a fast food restaurant is also unhealthy, but it only affects me and not others. I typically only visit fast food places when I am very hungry and have no other options available.

I enjoy A&W because their food is consistently good no matter which location you go to. My go-to order is the Teen burger and fries. Occasionally, they have great deals where you can get two items for the price of one. They also frequently send out coupons in the mail. A&W has been in business for over 50 years, which speaks to their quality. Their recent advertising promoting hormone and antibiotic-free ingredients has brought in more customers, in my opinion.
