If so, this is the perfect spot for you with its dark paneling, velvet chairs, and marble tables that exude a 1920s ambiance. I have been a fan of this place for over a decade, but my recent visit was before the pandemic. Unfortunately, there is a new chef who made a questionable decision to alter a beloved signature dish by adding sweet pickle relish to the high-quality beef tartare. The oysters were not properly shucked, but they were extremely fresh and flavorful. On the bright side, the burger was just as delicious as I remembered, without any sweet pickle relish. The drinks are outstanding, with a signature cocktail that has received global recognition, and the service is impeccable. This is also a great place to relax with a book, a snack, and a drink in the quiet mid-afternoon hours. Despite the mishaps with the tartare and oysters, and the hefty $225 CAD bill, I am happy to have returned to this charming establishment.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! My partner and I are currently staying at this incredibly upscale hotel. The service is flawless, with every detail being meticulously attended to. We are embarking on a cruise tomorrow and our stay here has been very pleasant. The staff is extraordinarily attentive and ensures that we are well taken care of. We are looking forward to trying out the bar tonight.
Fancy shmancy. (That would've been the end of my review if Yelp didn't have a character minimum) We ordered a glass of sparkling wine.... $45 CAN each. Oops. We made a mistake but it was honestly quite good. I wouldn't order it again but it was fancy experience. The waiter will add some Smokey popcorn and trail mix? To the table as you wait. The oysters came with a Serrano and lime drizzle on top. They're also baby oysters as the waitress pointed out. It's a super nice experience, it's inside the rosewood hotel.
The food options are always creative and delicious. Very shareable. Lovely historic building with great ambience. Our fav waiter is amazing. My only complaint would be that the live music is WAY too loud. It's not background music. It's a whole concert of weepy songs that I'd never listen to. It's hard to hear people at your table, and it brings the mood down.
Can't give this hotel bar enough stars. Was lucky enough to hit this place up a few times on my trip. The drinks here are phenomenally and consistently crafted. The Signature Georgia Hotel drink is a must try as is the Charlie Chaplin. The Spanish G&T with the local indigo gin is also a sight to behold. And did I mention they have food? Really good food. The beef tartare really hit the spot. Joe the bartender gets a special shout out for his amazing bartending skills as well as being a great host.
