He insisted on picking up the bill. The view was great, even with the smoke from the forest fires in B.C. We were there at just the right time 8:30 p.m. The sun was going down and the lights were coming on. The gas station in the middle of the bay tickled my grandkids. I also have to say, the waiter was excellent in helping accommodate our "picky eaters". (Serving the peas on the side of an alfredo dish) Not sure I'd go back again because of the cost, but it has now been marked off my bucket list and I appreciate the grandson who took us all.
A beautiful restaurant that makes you believe that this night is going to be great, but the experience is not that. First thing was the bathroom, two of four stalls cannot be locked and it is not clean. The food was bland BUT the revolving view is just amazing.
While on a recent week long stay in Vancouver, we decided to give this place a try even with all the smoke in the air from the wildfires. We felt like we had the place to ourselves and made three revolutions enjoying the views, food and sparking wine. The Baked French Brie was a great appetizer to share. I had the Cajun Halibut that was good but not as spicy as I expected. My wife had the Spicy Shrimp Pasta and it was to die for. Very spicy, huge portion and delicious. We enjoyed a bottle of Segura Vidura spanish Cava followed off by their Tiramisu (so-so, kind of bland) and an out of this world daily special cheesecake. Fairly pricey but we kind of expected it and for a special occasion, worth the price. Parking is NOT included. Our server (Ciara?) was excellent!
We went up to the restaurant the other day around 4pm so we could only order appetizers. I got the Lobster Bisque and the Wedge Caesar Salad. The Bisque was more of a broth and had very little flavor to it other then the spices used, the salad came with very little dressing and was just a couple wedges of salad and some cheese. My wife had the Cream of Mushroom soup and stuffed mushrooms, the soup was better but the stuffed Mushrooms were mostly bread crumbs and very little Seafood. The server (Miriam) was very slow and not attentive at all, I had to wait 15 minutes for her to come around so I could get some more dressing for the salad. The snack was $100.00 for basically soup and salad and we could have gotten a better meal anywhere is Gastown for 1/2 the cost, We will not be back
It is a nice place to visit for an hour to enjoy the spectacular views of Vancouver. However, food selection is scarce, especially if you are a vegetarian. Nevertheless, I truly enjoyed our time there, the view is incredible! Also, if you have a reservation, you do not need to pay the fee to go up.
