The service is outstanding; the staff is fast, friendly, engaging, and efficient. The food itself is excellent, both in quality and portion size. The salads are fresh, and the seafood is cooked to perfection. The portions are quite generous, and we found it challenging to finish everything, especially since we couldn't take leftovers due to our travel plans. The house-made sourdough bread served at each table is delightful as well. Additionally, the drink prices are very affordable, with smoothies and shakes at $4.99 and hot alcoholic beverages costing between $8 and $9. They are also accommodating regarding substitutions. If I find myself back in the Portland area, I can't wait to visit McGrath's again. I was surprised to see their current Google Maps rating is only 4.1; I would have expected at least a 4.4 based on my experience. For those with dietary restrictions, you can request substitutions or omit certain ingredients without any hassle.

I'm really conflicted about this review. The "recipe" for what we ordered shows a lot of promise, but the execution fell short. I had the Parmesan crusted halibut, which was quite tasty but slightly overcooked. Unfortunately, the sides were significantly overcooked. My wife ordered a Caesar salad with blackened salmon that also had the right seasoning and flavors to be fantastic, but there wasn't enough Caesar dressing, and the blackened salmon was dry and overcooked as well. The flavors could have been wonderful if the cooking had been done properly. I'm not sure if we will return, unless it's on a particularly busy night when overcooking might be less of an issue. I really wanted to love this place; instead, it reminded me of a less familiar version of Red Lobster.

Great dinner as always. Our server was one of the best, always in a jolly mood . knew the menu vary well and made good suggestions when asked. I definitely recommend Mcgraph's

I ordered the Steak Lobster combo, for my b.d. dinner. Lobster was way over cooked, shriveled up in the shell. The steak was the toughest piece of Meat have ever had there. The mixed vegetables were old soggy flavorless. The baked potato and bread was great....
