A nice place to hang out for Happy Hour. The nachos were excellent. The birthday singing was a bit loud, but if you're into it, I could see it being fun. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I have visited the Hazel Dell location multiple times. The margaritas are always delicious, although I don't always order them. They have unique twists on their margaritas that can be fun, depending on what you choose. The food portions are fair to large, and nearly everything I've tried I would order again, except for the taco salad. It was just okay, and adding meat cost an extra $11, making it a $30 salad. Not worth it in my opinion. The ambiance is nice, making it great for both dates and families. I was not pleased to discover that they now add a 2% fee, which wasn't mentioned beforehand and was only noticed on the bill. The service can be hit or miss. Last time we visited, my husband's food came out almost 20 minutes after everyone else's, and we had to inquire multiple times about it before it arrived. They did compensate us with vanilla ice cream with Hershey's sauce, but it was still disappointing. Overall, when we're craving good Mexican food, this restaurant is a contender, but we're still exploring other options as the value isn't quite there.

We enjoyed another great meal at this restaurant, especially the margaritas. We are always impressed by how clean the restaurant is, as is typical of all of Jorge's establishments. The attention to detail is exceptional and the decor is beautiful, something you don't often see in a Mexican restaurant. Our server, Mariah, was friendly and attentive. If you're looking for something light, we recommend the taco salad. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at El Coronel.
