Hawaiian Style Grill - Vancouver

I ordered the Kalbi Chicken plate, expecting to get kalbi chicken. Instead, I received burnt grilled chicken. I'm from Nanakuli, Hawaii, and I can confidently say that back in the islands, the food would have been ten times better. Food rating: 2/5.

I think this restaurant is a fantastic place to dine. The food has consistently been excellent, and the service is always warm and welcoming. During my most recent visit, I did experience a minor disappointment, but I suspect they were quite understaffed at that time. There were only three employees available, including those in the kitchen. Although our meal was delivered promptly, it missed its usual flair and was slightly dry. I mention this because I recently had someone pick up a meal for me, and it was perfectly fine. They truly put in a lot of effort here to ensure customer satisfaction.

Way better than any hawaiian food in portland. Drove 25 min each way to get that kalua pork and mochiko chicken. Service is sub par tho

The food is excellent, but it's best to avoid ordering if you're in a hurry or have time constraints. If you're looking to quickly pick up the lunch special, steer clear of online orders. They either prepare it far too early, leaving it cold by the time you arrive, or they won't begin making it until your scheduled pick-up time, resulting in a 30-minute wait (not counting the time spent ordering online). I've experienced this issue 80% of the time I've ordered the lunch special online over the past six months.

Pretty Good Food. Great Mac Salad and haven’t had a bad option choice. Great portion sizes.Can last 2 meals tbh even with just the regular. More a 4.5/5 as the depending on the night, meat can be dry but with the sauce it isn’t too noticeable. Would recommend if you want authentic tasting Hawaiian food.
