Totos' African Cuisine - Van Nuys

The first time with this kitchen and I will be honest, this is a 50/50 situation. I loved half of the things we tried. Don't try if you don't like heat. But this is a place you should try independently.

REVIEWS AND RESULTS! Omg? Why would you trust these people to make your food? They literally call customers stupid. I don't even usually leave reviews, but that's ridiculous. There's a reason this place is always empty. Like everyone else said? The woman who works here is quite unfriendly and makes me uncomfortable every time I come in. I grew up in a Nigerian community and know how to order food, I get the same every time, but it always looks like it does? A simple order? Meat with red stew? with rice? But she gets very semantic and always says it? red stew and meat?. so strange... The food is also extremely overpriced. Do you have 3 pieces of meat w stew and rice for about 30 dollars? Extra meat is 3.50 for EACH PIECE. Feels like a scam if I can get a bag of meat for 30 dollars on the market. I love the food, but it's not worth coming here anymore. I need to drive 40 minutes now to hopefully get better customer service. You got your GED? Ma?am.

Wow..I'm going to Cali today and looking for an African restaurant to try.. thanks to God for Google reviews.. I'm not going to spend my money here anyway. As you react to your customers, EXTREMELY is rude. Read through the comments everyone..don?t waste your time and money with people who are so evil! Good luck for your business. I'm sure your doors will eventually be closed..

This place is so good! The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I have the Fufu and Eiusi soup with friend Plantains. Everything was delicious. they were really fast. My food was done very fast. 10/10. Idk, what the reviews are talking about, must be grievous people who recreate or just a free day. This place is great

I?ve admittedly never eaten here but I?ve been reading the reviews for this place and will never eat here. I understand that places can get bad reviews from time to time from people who are unfriendly. However, I can tell by the way the owner of totos? responds that the customer service is lacking at best. Talking to customers in a rude manner is a sure-fire way to lose business, and if you want your restaurant to do better I would work on that first. Much love <3
