Chalet Etoile - VALTOURNENCHE

I haven’t been here for 8 years. It was stunning then and even better now. Lovely family run restaurant on the slopes where they owners seem to really care. Always very busy with great food. The main room is beautiful full of atmosphere and with staff accommodating a very busy service with style, charm and care. Hopefully we will be back before another 8 years pass its a perfect stop on a busy day’s skiing.

Chalet Etoile ! One of our favourites in Cervinia! 5 years in a row !! Stunning food, lovely wine, beautiful people ! Today was just the perfect lunch after a beautifully day on the slopes … you have to do it ! Nothing more, nothing less

An incredible spot for lunch overlooking 360 views of the mountains and the Matterhorn. Amazing wine list, we had a lovely Chardonnay. We had the steak tartare to share which was incredible! Followed by the spaghetti vongole. The pasta was nice but I’m afraid to say the clams were overdone, crispy and burnt. Didn’t let it ruin the rest of the gorgeous meal though

Perhaps the only refuge in the area where they try to differentiate the menu, but with result, maybe subjective, unfavorable. the quality offered of the dishes is not high, despite the prices they are, it seems to me a lot of appearance but little substance. the meat burger with pork (freddin) with good sauces are many even if it had been good, polenta with humid the least good eaten in the shelters. Probably not to compete unfairly with colleagues on the Swiss side, the prices are aligned with a Swiss restaurant (medium euri a pietanza). But there is to say that the quality is really remarkable, the fast service, the place is very cozy and warm, the clean bathrooms ... in short, a great place to relax and eat well.
