The sides were good so was the wedge salad. Not too crazy about the cocktails but everything else was perfect. Had a wonderful time with my husband celebrating my birthday.
Update from my review 6 years ago. Came here for a birthday celebration. We were seated in a nice booth as requested. It was in the middle of the week, so it wasn't very busy. We started with soft shell crab...at $8 each...we ordered 3. They were fried tempura style, the breading was thick and heavy and tasted just ok. I do not recommend. I got the lobster tail served with hot drawn butter. The lobster was good, but I feel the top needed to be broiled a bit, it just looked too white and needed some garnish to make it more appealing. My boyfriend ordered the filet and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Brussel sprouts were yummy too. The sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus were barely warm enough. I notice that food is usually never hot enough when served and is an ongoing problem in my repeat visits here. The staff is friendly and made sure we had our water glasses filled and gave us plenty of their yummy bread. They brought out a complimentary birthday chocolate mousse cake. It was delicious. Gordon Ramsay will have a restaurant soon at this casino and I hope the competition will raise the bar at this place.
I don't get the low reviews but we will be definitely be coming back! We came on a Sunday night around 730pm, thinking it wouldn't be busy. We were told that they were fully booked but was able to sit at the bar. Once we sat at the bar, the restaurant was empty and no one was ever sat at those empty seats. A little confusing because we would have rather sat at a table because you cannot choose who you sit next too, which we sat by a very loud couple FaceTiming people. The bartenders gave amazing service though, I believe Nathan and Sarah. Food: we shared the 16oz ribeye. I am so glad we did because that sucker was huge! I was not able to eat all my half and my husband had to force himself to eat it all. The ribeye was amazing! They cut the ribeye I. Half for us and cooked it the way we wanted it. I believe all the steaks come with two sides and a steak sauce. The steak did not need any sauce. We also had the cheesecake the previous night and it was light and fluffy.
I have to say within a year this establishment has gone down hill in food, choices and host. Forbtge life of me, I cannot come to understand why chef Luke removed the best tasting and best non steak item from the menu. That was the the beef short ribs. The only thing that this place has is, Christy Nathan and Sarah. They are the very top of the service with a smile, and great attitude. I hope that the new Hell 's Kitchen makes Chef step up his game and bring back people 's favorite. For the price I say get the any of the steaks, and if you drink see Nathan or Sarah for the best mixed or straight drinks you can buy. Asked for a Marcakasie and enjoy The prices are on average per person meal $70.00.
Clearly one of my favorite restaurants to dine at when I am at Harrahs. The bar, the seafood bar, and the restaurant are all good. All three of the bar and seafood bar staff are friendly and welcoming. The bone in ribeye, the seafood Raman, the clam chowder, the poke nachos, the Caesar salad, and the prime-rib are my personal favorites here. The reservation system and first come at the bars can negatively affect your meal plans if timing is not right or you are not in the know. Check before your visit.
