Noonie's Place - Vallejo

As a disclaimer, I had only the sweet potato cake and tried nothing else on the menu. I ordered a whole cake for the family and mostly baked goods not two days in our house, but this could just sit there until the ants come. No, ma'am, this cake has failed all the attributes of a southern sweet potato cake. Crust should be buttery and delicate, but this was stale as a cardboard. I said to myself, okay let me just try to enjoy the cake part, but the filling was not solid and watered down and just filled with so much sugar it was unbearable. Vallejo is too rich with the southern culture to leave such a clamp as a sweet potato cake like this. Nunus Bakery in Vallejo is how sweet potato cake should be done. You need to revive this recipe. I will add more stars, but PLEASE will change for the culture of this recipe.

I've been looking for a long time and I want to try this place, I finally decide to order and I'm very disregarded. I ordered the French toast and when I got it, it was soggy and very understated. I had really high expectations for this and getting this was very surprising.

DONT DOORDASH. They forgot an item as well as lied about the ingredients in BIG rifa plate and my Lucille's scramble is supposed to have different veggies.. they only put bell pepper into it. I ordered my meal with sausage and they gave me bacon. The side of rice is the size of a side ketchup container. Avoid it and just go to Nations. At least food is priced accurately. DEAR OWNER: Thanks for your response but I have no time to go back and forth with you. I said what I said and it's all true. 1. I replaced the yams with okra medley and so please get the facts straight before you play middle man. 2. I handled it through doordash and since your menu isnt accurate that isnt my problem as a customer's. It's yours as an owner. 3. You told me you couldnt refund me and I hung up and dealt with it through doordash. Regardless, overall disappointing and really there's no use to argue over this. My grits were not with my door dasher. Anyways thanks for all the effort and energy. Still stand by my experience. Have a good day.

My wife and I just had the Basa and Prawn seafood combo with a side sauteed okra and tomatoes and French fries. It's was so delicious. We will be coming back! Gotta try those Ox Tails! ????
