This place really surprised me. I had walked by it for years, thinking it mainly catered to large orders for events and parties. The other day, I noticed they offered cheeseburgers and decided to try one the following day. I loved the flavor of the burger—it had a delicious, genuine smoky BBQ taste. The fries took me back to my childhood, reminiscent of how my mom used to make them. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is fantastic. If you’re nearby, definitely give it a try, and if you’re not close, make the trip because it’s absolutely worth it!

The owner was very nice and the customer service was excellent, but the portion sizes didn't justify the price. I ordered a full rack of ribs, but when I opened the box, the ribs were chopped into small pieces, and it didn't seem like there were 12 ribs in total. The sauce was tasty and had a nice kick to it. The potato salad was good—moist and full of flavor—however, the pound cake was dry and the peach cobbler was way too sweet.

Unless there are improvements, we won’t be returning, which is disappointing because I genuinely want to support Black-owned businesses. The barbecue tasted as if it had been boiled and then thrown on the grill; there was no smoky flavor, and it didn’t seem like authentic BBQ. Additionally, the meat portion for a combo was quite small. I really hope they can make some changes and improve.
